ROSETTE DETAIL

Hope y'áll had a great weekend.

So yesterday was Thanksgiving/Afro service in my church. And in my dictionary, Traditional outfit = Gele.
I mean, a true African woman wouldn't be complete in her traditional outfit without her 'Gele'. lol
My dress which made by my tailor isn't in any way a traditional dress. It was just a lain black dress that I almost didn't like as it didn't come out as expected.
But i really needed a dress for the service so I took  it out and cut out these tiny rosettes and attached it to the straps of the dress with a safety pin (I didn't even have the time to sew it on).
I didn't know how it turned out until I tried on the dress in the morning after getting dressed for church.
My quick DIY turned out great if I do say so myself.

  1. I think the addition of the roses adds character to the dress. I also love the pop of red from your gele.
